BT DanceCompany Offers Classes In:

Ballet combines grace, line and beauty to provide the technical foundation for all dance forms.

  • At BT DanceCompany ballet classes for dancers ages five and up are taught in the Vaganova method.

Tap rhythms are sounded out by the clicking taps on the heels and toes of a dancer’s shoes.

Jazz class uses elements of ballet and modern dance set to popular music.

Lyrical combines the many technical elements of classical ballet with the freedom, fluidity, expressiveness and airier aspects of jazz, contemporary and modern dance.

HipHop class mixes funk and street dance styles to create fun and freestyle movement.

Acro class teaches floor tumbling and acrobatic skills which can be incorporated into dance.

*Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and is essential in developing strong technical dancers.  Therefore we strongly recommend that all jazz and lyrical students add ballet to their schedules.

**Acro is a technique class, and does not participate in the year end showcase. This class should be paired with a jazz or lyrical class as the elements learned in these classes will be incorporated into the jazz/lyrical dances.

COMPETITION!

Our Competition Program is geared toward the serious student who wants to take their dancing to the next level and be part of a team. Interested dancers must be willing to commit to intensive training 3-5 days per week (depending on age) as well as participate in four competition/convention weekends between January and May.  In addition to the extra class time, there are additional costs associated with being a part of the team, which includes competition and convention fees.

Company dancers will work hard and push their limits! They will improve technically and performance wise.  They will also learn lessons in teamwork, commitment, winning and losing gracefully, as well as build lifelong friendships!

Dance experience is required.  Petites (Ages 5-7) limited experience is required. Acceptance to Company is based on performance in an evaluation class.

If interested, please speak with Bethany for more detailed information.
